About

Hello. My name is Lauren Kay-Lambert. I am a Londoner who loves to travel, a gluten free foodie, a massive cat lover, but first and foremost, I am a feminist. Why am I a feminist? Because I believe in gender equality. I believe that a society in which women’s social, political and economic rights are equal to their male counterparts, is a society that benefits everyone. At the end of 2015, Laura Bates wrote a Guardian article asking what your feminist new years resolution would be. I considered this. My feminist resolution is to start a blog that encourages us to consider feminism in this simple way. My aim is to sit down and have a chat with people from all walks of life about issues relating to gender. We have started to see a rise and a passion amongst women who are raising their voices about gender inequality, but in order to see significant change take place, we need men to speak up too. Gender equality has not been achieved and it will take two sexes to create it.

As a side note, I want to make clear that despite the name of this blog, I fully support those who do not identify themselves with any particular gender.
